jOINT WINNER!

In 2016 the Cotswold AONB hosted a competition to find the Cotswold Landscape Photographer of the Year.  Two entries were submitted and one was selected to be in the final 10.  Having opened the competition up for public vote on Social Media and then in the Corinium Museum in Cirencester, it was decided that three entries were the winners.  I am over the moon as this is the first competition I have entered my work.  A big congratulations to the other two entry winners.

My winning entry The Autumn Eye of the Cotswolds

This shot was taken while lying on the ground looking up.  When I was searching for the composition I noticed the loan tree that had yet shed its leaves.  I also noticed that when I carefully studied the view I could the resemblance of an eye.  The green leaves being the iris and the branches being the veins of the eye.

As a photographer it's a great feeling when your work has been recognised

COTSWOLD TIMES When I received an email asking if the Cotswold Times could use this picture as the front cover I was really happy.  The picture is of the Christmas tree in the river (Bourton on the Water).

COTSWOLD LIFE MAGAZINE Center spread in the Cotswold Life magazine.  This picture will always be special to me as not only did it appear on a full double page center piece but also I have seen that the tree is no longer.  Glad I captured this when I did.   For the full image please visit my Cotswold Image Library
